Forum on High Quality Development of Legal Service Industry & 2023 Yingke Global Partner Conference Held Successfully

Yingke is ranked No. 1 in the 2022 Global 200 for the number of lawyers in the world, making it the largest law firm in the world, and all Yingke members are working hard towards the goal of building a world-leading law firm. On 20 May 2023, Forum on High Quality Development of Legal Service Industry & 2023 Yingke Global Partner Conference was successfully held.

Welcome Speech

At the beginning of the conference, Mr Mei spoke about how lawyers are an important force in promoting rule of law and an important guarantee for the modernisation of the country. Yingke has set 3 One Hundred Development Goals for the future, i.e. the goal of building more than 100 domestic law firms, 100 international cooperative law firms, and 100 overseas offices directly managed by Yingke, so as to give full play to the advantages of the global legal services network and meet clients’ needs for legal services in various legal fields and on a global scale.      

Mr Mei Xiangrong stressed that Yingke Law Firm will take the responsibility of building a world-leading law firm and make efforts for the rule of law China construction.

Guests’ Speeches

Zainabu Zuberi Massoro, Minister of the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in China, said that now China and Tanzania have established friendly relations, and that Tanzania will work together with China to promote economic cooperation in the future. In closing,  Zainabu Zuberi Massoro wished the conference a complete success.

The Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to China, Mbelwa Kairuki, delivered a video message in which he thanked Yingke Law Firm for its generous invitation. Mbelwa Kairuki concluded his speech by welcoming everyone to Tanzania for business exchanges.

Antonino Galletti, Executive Director of the National Legal Council of Italy, delivered a video message. He said that in the process of Chinese companies going abroad, strengthening the compliance management of enterprises is a new way to develop. He said he looked forward to meeting and exchanging views with his counterparts at Yingke as soon as possible to provide legal protection for enterprises and individual clients and to defend their rights and freedoms.

Prashant Kumar, President of the Bar Association of India and Vice-Chairman of the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association, delivered an online address. He mentioned that Yingke’s global network of legal services provides great value in terms of enhancing understanding of different cultures and legal work in different countries. He concluded by wishing all the lawyers a happy communication at the forum and a joint contribution to the advancement of global legal services.

Various leaders from China University of Political Science and Law, Tsinghua University, Legal Daily, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Renmin University of China, East China University of Political Science and Law, China Legal Aid Foundation, Southwest University of Political Science and Law and Northwest University of Political Science and Law attended the conference and delivered speeches.

Yingke Global Board Expert Committee Chief Expert Appointment Ceremony

As a global legal service provider, Yingke Law Firm has been insisting on professionalism as the core competitiveness of the firm for many years, and in order to promote the construction of professionalism, Yingke Law Firm decided to appoint Professor Shen Sibao as the Chief Expert of Yingke Global Board Expert Committee. Professor Shen Sibao was appointed as Chief Expert of the Yingke Global Board Expert Committee by Mr Mei Xiangrong.

Signing Ceremony of the Agreement on the Construction of Innovation Base for Collaborative Training of Foreign Legal Talents

In the face of the current more complex world situation, strengthening the training of foreign legal talents and foreign-related legal services is the response of Chinese legal education and practitioners to the issues of the times.

A signing ceremony was held at the conference to sign an agreement between School of Law of Tsinghua University and Yingke Law Firm to build an innovative base for the collaborative training of foreign legal talents.

This was followed by a signing ceremony of the agreement between School of Law of  Renmin University of China and Yingke Law Firm for the establishment of an innovative base for the collaborative training of foreign-related rule of law talents.

Entrepreneurs’ Rights Protection Forum Signing Ceremony

A signing ceremony for the Entrepreneurs’ Rights Protection Forum was held at the conference, with Mr. Mei Xiangrong, Director of Yingke Law Firm, and Ms. Liu Yanhong, Professor and PhD Supervisor of China University of Political Science and Law, signing the Entrepreneurs’ Rights Protection Forum on stage.

Yingke Building a World-Class Law Firm Launching Ceremony

At the end of the conference, guests and lawyers from Yingke took to the stage for the launch ceremony of Yingke Law Firm to build a world-leading law firm.
