Nicolás is a founding partner at the law firm BARREIRO. OLIVA. DE LUCA. JACA. NICASTRO in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he leads the Corporate & Venture Capital team. He has 20 years’ experience of advising clients in corporate and finance projects.
Nicolás has a deep knowledge of corporate and M&A projects including leading due diligence teams, structuring and negotiating SPAs and related contract including loan agreements, guarantees, commercial agreements, shareholder agreements, etc., in a variety of industry sectors but with particular expertise within real estate, cement, steel, laboratories, food and beverage, agriculture, clothing, and automotive. As for finance project, Nicolás advises clients in finance- and international trade operations whereby he represents banks, multilateral agencies and traders as well as manufacturers and distributors.
Nicolás also frequently advises and represents foreign companies in their process of installation and incorporation of subsidiary companies and branches in Argentina, by accompanying them in their registration process and in obtaining permits, as well as in the management and coordination of their daily operations.
