The Founding Partner of Yingke International was Invited to Host one of the forums on the Chinese Listed Companies to Build the Belt and Road International Cooperation Forum 2022

On August 17th and 18th, 2022, the Chinese Listed Companies to Build the Belt and Road International Cooperation Forum 2022 was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan. This event was led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and jointly hosted by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the  People’s Government of Sichuan Province, and the World Trade Centers Association，organized by China Association for Public Companies, China Chamber of International Commerce and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council.

This event is aimed to promote the high-quality development of the “Belt and Road”, and to promote the establishment of closer partnerships between the national listed companies and the “Belt and Road” countries’ industrial and commercial circles.

In the face of the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” has made an important contribution to the global anti-epidemic cooperation and economic recovery, and has conveyed confidence and strength to the international community. With the theme of “Sharing Opportunities and Embracing the Future”, this forum invited representatives from domestic listed companies, scientific research institutes, financial institutions, embassies and consulates in China, and overseas business associations to participate in the forum, conducting discussions and exchanges on themes such as promoting common prosperity and green development.

In the opening speech, Lawyer Yang Lin pointed out that the “Belt and Road” Initiative proposed by the President Xi Jinping in 2013 has achieved remarkable achievements and has become a global economic cooperation platform guided by ideas, cooperation mechanisms and practical projects. During the 2018 and 2019 United Nations South-South Cooperation Expo held in Antalya, Turkey and the United Nations Headquarters in New York, BRI and SDG, also known as, the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the Sustainable Development Goals, have been mentioned many times. As of the beginning of June this year, China has signed more than 200 cooperation documents on the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” with 149 countries and 32 international organizations. Numerous Chinese enterprises have infrastructure projects such as roads, railways, bridges, power stations, and projects in finance, manufacturing, agriculture, digital technology and other industries in the countries along the “Belt and Road”，contributing to the realization of facility connectivity, unimpeded trade, and people-to-people contacts.

During the two-hour interview, the guests shared the experiences, risks and opportunities, and planning during their investments and trades in countries along the “Belt and Road” based on their respective sectors. Lawyer Yang Lin also interacted with the speakers and put forward pertinent suggestions based on her rich experience in foreign-related legal services. The interview was highly praised by the participants.

During the forum, Liu Lei, Executive Vice Chairman of the China Association for Public Companies, released two achievements, 2022 Selected Cases of China’s Listed Companies Jointly Building the “Belt and Road” Initiative and White Paper：Chinese Listed Companies to Build and Belt and Road Initiative 2021, providing references for enterprises participating in the joint construction of the “Belt and Road”. Between them, the “White Paper” is based on the first market-wide survey conducted by the China Association of Listed Companies and the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges on the status quo of listed companies participating in the joint construction of the “Belt and Road”. The characteristics and trends of relevant business development were deeply analyzed, and the fruitful achievements of Chinese listed companies’ “going out” were comprehensively displayed.
