Leading Israeli law firm Lipa Meir visits the New York Office of YK Law

November 5, 2021

On Nov. 2, Mr. Alon Pomeranc, managing partner of Lipa Meir & Co. Advocates and a leading Israeli litigator, Mr. Gary Copelovitz, head of the International Practice Group, and Dr. Ziv Preis, co-head of the Cross-Border M&A and Banking & Finance Group, visited the New York Office of YK Law.

YK LAW LLP Executive Director Yongyuan Li, co-heads of the Intellectual Property Practice Group Scott Kaliko, and Michael Shanahan hosted representatives from Lipa Meir in the New York office of YK Law. In addition, Managing Partner of YK LAW LLP Jesse Weiner, Corporate M&A Practice Group Leader Ian Liao, and Litigation Practice Group Co-Head Pankaj Malik attended the meeting remotely.

Executive of YK LAW LLP Director, Mr. Li Yongyuan stated,

“Israel is known as the ‘land of entrepreneurship and innovation.’ Despite a population of only 8 million, Israel ranks third in the world in the number of companies listed on the NASDAQ, second only to the United States and China, and has a much higher density of innovative companies than the United States and China.

We have been working with Israeli law firm Lipa Meir for nearly a decade, and have worked together on numerous cross-border investment transactions between China and Israel. 2017 saw us jointly represent ADAMA Agricultural Solutions in its $18.6 billion restructuring with Hubei Sanonda, making ADAMA the first global company to list in China. Andromeda became the first global company listed in China and the first globalized Chinese pesticide company.

In the post-epidemic era, the essence of international competition is the competition of scientific and technological strength. We look forward to continuing to work with our partners in the future to build a matrix of investments in innovation and high-tech industries across China, Israel and the United States.”
