Before becoming a lawyer, Shu worked for nearly ten years in the Bank of China, the Private Banking Department of ABN AMRO Bank, and an investment company. She has participated in multiple merger and acquisition projects, restructuring several listed companies. This accumulated rich work experience benefited her subsequent legal career. Her skills in understanding issues from investors’ perspective helps clients to achieve win-win or multi-win situations.
Over the past ten years, Shu has provided legal services to more than a hundred Chinese and international corporate and private clients at Beijing Dentons (Shenzhen) Law Firm, ZhongLun Law Firm London office, GCL Solicitors LLP, and Gateley PLC, the first UK firm listed on the London Stock Exchange. During her time at Gateley PLC, she completed over a hundred transactions with a cumulative value of nearly a billion pounds, with the largest single transaction amounting to approximately £20 million.
Shu’s main areas of practice are domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, major asset restructuring; cross-border investment and financing, compliance; international dispute resolution; and international private wealth.
