Pooja earned degrees in biotechnology and law at the University of Mumbai, and also has an MBA in finance. She focuses on project finance and banking laws, and has worked for Singhania and Partners LLP as well as in-house at the Deutsche Bank Group. She drafts and vets transaction documents for project finance transactions, as well as investment agreements and commercial contracts. In addition, she specializes in real estate law, including title check and certification, managing land acquisition processes, negotiating financing, and drafting transaction documents (including development agreements, agreements to sell and sale deeds). She also appears on clients’ behalf in arbitration proceedings as well as high profile proceedings in various courts and tribunals, with a particular focus on cross-border commercial disputes, and defending claims by Indian tax and customs authorities, and selects and briefs senior counsel as required. When required, she also assists foreign nationals with criminal proceedings in India.
